About Us

Montgomery Adult School (MOA)

We have been serving the communities of South San Diego, Imperial Beach, Nestor, and Otay Mesa since 1974. Montgomery Adult partners with the San Diego Job Corps, South County Career Center, Public Consulting Group, Boston Reed College, the Otay Mesa Library, and several elementary and high schools in the area to better serve the community.

We offer English as a Second Language, Adult Basic Education, high school diploma/GED (including credit recovery for high school students), Digital Literacy, Culinary Arts (Pastry Chef), and Citizenship. Classes are available morning, afternoon, and evening, Monday through Thursday, depending on the subject. In addition, we offer some Distance Learning and Independent Studies classes for students unable to attend on a daily basis.

The Montgomery Adult School culture is one of student success not only while enrolled with us but also as students transition to the world of work and/or further education. We take pride in the fact that many of our students return to continue their education where they left off or to share their success stories with us as they journey toward their goals.

Our dedicated teachers, counselors, and classified staff are ready to help you meet your goals. We look forward to working with you!

Dr. Jay Marquand – Director of Adult Education
